Working to show locals and visitors; that San Juan County, New Mexico and the Four Corners is an arts destination.

“Painting, Music, Electronic Media, Pottery, Performing Arts, Historic Architecture; individually, these elements can energize, excite, and sustain imagination. When brought together, their power allows a community to celebrate itself, creating a common voice that blends history and art and culture into a unifying vision (NM Economic Development Department).”

Apart from being the first comprehensive guide to the creative community of the Four Corners, “Handmade” will be unique among free gallery guides. Most focus on galleries, venues, and events, but our focus will be the many talented individuals living and working in the Four Corners Area.

While our name implies that we are only for visual artists, we are expanding on the usual visual art content of gallery guides to include any creative person offering a product or service that contributes to the cultural life of the Four Corners part of New Mexico. It will include, fine artists, artisans, crafters, musicians, dancers, writers, filmmakers, actors, etc. Our goal is to raise the awareness of the general population to what we in the creative community have known all along...

you don’t have to leave the Four Corners for culture.
